    hi all

    Hi All,

Living in Auckland originally from Whakatane, getting back into Hunting after a long break, stopped when I moved back to Auckland. Not that experinced in the deer department ( have shot a few though ) but a reasoonable shot most of the time haha. Off for a walk in the lower Kaimais tomorrow with the crazy 11month old GSP bitch and 7mm08. We have been up a few times without the rifle on training runs and have follwed a few deer around. She is turning out to be a great dog not phased by the rifle going off while at all, and has awseome hunting drive.

    Happy hunting

    Cheers

That is long enough to have been a Bombardier. Make sure you make yourself known in the old soldiers thread. There are one or two of us on here. Of course all of the highly intelligent and good looking ones are former grunts. Ha ha ha ha

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

What a tangle it was! actually wasnt as bad as I remebered. Followed a few deer around they had there invisiblity cloaks on though lots of fresh sign around heard a couple, saw one grazing on the wrong side of the fence. Lots of hunters and trampers on the tracks. marked a spot where some deer trails cross over for next time. Was a great being back in the bush even if the hunting was hard. Think a trip down to desert road might be the go soon, there used to be a few reds north of the Waiouru training area. must still be a few left down there in the DOC land?
