    Hi all

    Hi all,
Been hunting for a wee while now mainly lower/central North island.
Used a Winchester 30/30 in the southern Tararuas/Rimutakas for years with mixed success. really like hunting up close in the bush but have had a lot of longer range opportunities
so ive got a CZ 550 in .308

Welcome. Your story sounds very familiar....
I hunted the Ruahines with a 30-30, but after regularly seeing deer out on the slips I bought a BRNO 308 (in 1992).

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    Welcome to the forum.
I have a Winchester 30/30 but have only shot the odd homekill beast with it so far.
