Hi all - New to the forum and hunting

    Hi everyone,

I'm a 21 year old guy (Auckland based) who recently had my first taste of hunting, when I was staying with some friends down Murupara way and ended up going hunting. I am keen to get into hunting, and am grateful to have found this forum with so much knowledge and experience available - I look forward to learning more off all you experienced hunters and shooters!

    Cheers for letting me join,
    Joel

Welcome aboard. You probably won't get a lot of replies here but folks are pretty helpful. Get stuck in and get involved.

Welcome Joel. Jump right in. Don't be afraid to ask what to you, might seem like daft questions. We have all started from the bottom and some of us have even managed to get half way already

Joel...I agree with Pengy..ask anything and believe me after years of training Staff there is NO SUCH THING as a bad or dumb question. Everyone at some time in some forum or other hears someone ask a question and thought to themselves I should have been confident enough to ask that

    Good hunting mate...

Welcome Joel. Don't listen to Mikee, he is one of those southern fellahs that delude themselves into thinking they live on the mainland of this country. Pengy is not exactly telling the truth either. He is so short he couldn't get halfway. This forum is full of good bastards that will share their knowledge freely. There is also the odd old bugger that will take the piss at every opportunity. Ha ha ha ha
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Hi Joel, dont believe rushy, not all the old buggers are odd, some are downright weird and occasionally in between insulting one another they do offer advice of varying quality.

Hey welcome! There are a few of us here trapped in Auckland who don't drink lattes or own a 7-08 (forum joke). We do catch up occasionally and talk shit so look out for the next get together...
Lots of good buggers here who will be keen to help you out. Yes and even the odd troll but you can just block them if you want.

Welcome Joel, no such thing as a stupid question.
So ask away and don't take any smart arse replies about Auckland too seriously.
    Welcome to Sako club.
