I am not a traveller and I don't like flying, but if I want to get there I will have to fly. Living in one of the most populated araes in Europe, the images of NZ are tremendous. At a moment I would like to fly in, rent a 4x4 and travel around your islands to enjoy the open space. No hurry or deadlines, just drive around and sleeping where you end up in the evening. If I can hunt a bit the same time, OK, otherwise I might just come back for a shorter period just to hunt. I wasn't aware that there was hunting on public land in NZ.
I wasn't aware that St Hubert had anything to do with the building of the cathedral in Liège. I know he was the bishop in Liège for a while. In the city " Saint Hubert" there is a cathedral having his name.
There also is an weapon museum in Liège. Realy intresting if anybody would visit Belgium and likes arms.
Is there a working spaniel club in NZ ?

Yes Smut, there is a working spaniel club. They are enjoying a wave of popularity in NZ.
All of the things you mentioned above, are easily achievable, you just have to get here. Thats the funny thing about these forums, people are just dying to show you how great a spot we have here :)

Yea Ric, I wont say its easy to get animals on public land but it is free and there is plenty of members who im sure would put you onto a decent area for where you intend to hunt.
You dont have to be rich/fat/American/Sheik who only shoots from a helicopter to get a animal:)
