    hi everyone

so ive been on here for about a year so it high time i filled this bit in eh! so im from north otago im new to hunting even though im in my mid 30's i have shot a few deer but have yet to get a pig! i dont really care if i bag an animal when i go out i just love the outdoors so to see game is a bonus and to take home meat is even better, i run with the motto of if you shoot it you have to eat it ( although ive never eaten possum purely because of tb risk ) but rabbits hare wallaby ect are on the menu at some stage,
    regards birch
ps if anyone around my neck of the woods want to take me out hunting im keen to take my rifle for a walk...

possums fine as it carries only bovine TB, if you start gutting it and see white nodules in the offal throw it away, make sure you cook it well and cook it outside as its smelly when cooking

Welcome Birch. You could go a very long time without finding a possum that had Tb.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Yes but only if you ate less than one hundred million of them.
