    Hi everyone

    Hi Everyone,

    My names Greg.
I didn’t know about this intro part when I first signed up, but have recently seen it come up in some posts, so thought I had rather post it a bit late than never!
I came here on a recommendation of a friend and also to join in with a bunch of like minded people.
I’m from Christchurch and have really enjoyed reading the threads that pop up on here on a daily basis.
I have always loved shooting as originally come from South Africa where my dad use to do a lot of hunting when he was a farmer.
Im now 30 and just had my 2nd boy pop out the sunroof a few weeks ago, and have a 2yo boy already.
Can’t wait to be able to take them out shooting when they a bit older.
I shoot a Brno .308 and a T3x .223 currently, but am keen on getting a 300 or 7mm I’m near future, before my boys eat me out of house and home!
Long range shooting really appeals to me, even if it’s just at targets. But find it hard down here to find somewhere to do just that. Especially just a place to do some load development on a LR rig. Maybe in the future we will get a 1k range

Other than that, love wallaby shooting or any pest shooting for that matter and keen to get out on the tops for thar etc
    .
So cheers for having me here and thanks again to the members I have already bought the odd scope or brass off.
    Greg

Welcome Greg. Make a plan to come down to the Toby shoot if you are interested in long range.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

You may as well get the real thing! 300 Win Mag all the way.

@Rushy I’m definitely swayed that way, as was looking at a 300 win mag Tikka t3x, unfortunately they only 1-11 twist rate, so probs can only reload 180/190 grain projectiles max, and obviously COAL max length is restricted. Just hesitant on their twist rate atm, until some people say otherwise from their experience with them I guess
