    Hi everyone

Ive been meaning to get my FAL for a long time, but have only just got round to getting it after buying a small forestry block and need to do some pest/possum control.
Have a few mates into hunting and have done a bit of possum shooting and clay target shooting in our spare time.

I have a fair bit of small game on the property too, including ducks, rabbits and pheasants.
Would like to take up a bit of deer stalking too.

I think it should, have been told they are getting them through much faster, will likely be around 3 months instead of 12.

    Welcome aboard
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Welcome mate. My renewal is dragging on after 5 months, so hope your local firearms officer is a bit less under the whip!

That sucks, our local hunting and fishing store said it had something to do with them changing the application process right prior to last years duck season where there was already a list of applications to get through.
I also think more people in general are taking up hunting to compensate for the increasing cost of living.
I have heard a few stories where people are having to leave their guns in the hands of another licensed friend until their application is renewed.
I believe the police are prioritizing renewals, so you cant be too far off as they intend to get them done within 6 months so im told.
