    Hi forum

Hello! My name is Josh, new to the forum. I'm 26, living in Auckland, having moved here from Wellington a couple years ago. Other interests include surfing and more recently have started getting into a bit of photography.

I've recently acquired my FAL but am coming up short on places to shoot so far! I don't know the area very well, I'm hoping someone can point me in the best direction to get started with hunting goats and deer! I'm not a complete rookie having been out with friends a couple of times when I lived in Wellington but I am quite fresh. If anyone needs a tag along for some day hunts on weekends (I am also self employed so weekends are my only real days off) I'm keen! Have my own transport but am happy to split gas and carpool (I'm in Mt Wellington). I am hoping to get a suitable rifle early next year, having just bought a 22 to get started on.

I'm really looking forward to a little hunting, hopefully absorbing some knowledge from you lot and maybe even meeting a couple of you!

    Cheers.

Welcome Square1. Phillipgr and Scouser live in your neighbourhood. We could probably Jack up a hunt in the new year.
    mucko and Gibo like this.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
