Thread: hi kiwis!

gday fellas, i thought i would introduce myself a little better , ive been on the forum for a while now on and off, mostly off, i was interested in heading over a few years ago and did so but done my knee and cut the trip short and things havnt aligned since, but here i am...
Im 30 year ol fulla from Aus and im a full blown Sambar addict- you might have seen my facebook page HillDog safaris or even some Youtube videos under HilldogTV, so Yes Im as keen as they come and am all about the Hunt in the true sense of Fair chase.
Now im 'getting on' a bit i decided it was now or never to "live the dream" and head over to "do it like the Kiwis do" - hardout southern alps style...
So i've based myself within Koowee of 'Dunnerz' which happens to be a Koowee from the Southern Alps , where I aim to chase a few critters around in due time.
in the mean time I've been busy sourcing a place to stay, a set of wheels and hopefully soon a source of Chips in form of a Job

I've luckily known a few blokes in NZ over the years of the sporting lifestyle i once had and were able to call on them to house me an keep me safe until i found my feet-
I've got myself a Room and also just got myself a set of wheels, so theres only two things left and thats a Job and then to get myself a budget rifle to kill big Royals

What i was wondering is if there are many hunters down in the Area who would be keen on a Meet and greet of sorts over a Brew at a local pub and potentially get into a few shoots at a Range and eventually into some Bush for a waltz around, perhaps share some fuel for Alps trips down the track. of course Im prepared and planning to do all my hunting Solo however i feel there is a safety aspect in the big hills to have an accompanying hunter etc. however thats not too important for now, more interested in talkin guns and huntin with like minded fellas..
