New to the forum, from Oamaru. Biggest thing I've shot is a hare but been goat and pig hunting before (as a kid just watching).. Just got a new Savage .223 which is hopefully capable of knocking the goats over :)

Hi all I also am a new member and am from the UK,Planning to come over in Feb-March ,14.Iam hopeing to hunt goat,pig on meet hunt, no trophy.Iwould use 6.5x47,.308 or 30-06.Is the .223 a suitable round for pig I would have thought not.Iwould appreciate any advice or contacts. wile
