I like the quality here.
Welcome GravelBen
Gidday Ben. Do you work with gravel in good old gore or somethin'? Welcome along mate!
I don't work with gravel (well not generally!) but I like playing on it in cars...
Cheers for the welcome lads, seems a friendly place :)
Another rear wheel drive Escort fan, good shit
Chur brother, awesome! I was on a timing crew for the Silver Fern Rally a couple years ago, we didn't make it down as far a Gore though from memory. Nothing like the sound of a BDA approaching from the forest below to get the panties moist ;) hahaha. (And I'm talking about moonhunt when I say that!)
Fuck, not only did i fall off my chair i spilt my hot tea on my cruch, pmsl, but yea your bang on Dougie
:D Think I like this forum!
Welcome aboard GB. Enjoy the company. Dougie is there nothing you haven't done?
Just trying to pack a lot into one life :) did a bit of hill climb stuff myself just at club level but always had to borrow a car (couldn't afford two cars), raced my MR2 and before that Mini on the track at Ruapuna  you don't know these things about people until you ask!!!
What are you running, Ben? :yaeh am not durnk:
Welcome to aboard ben, nice to see another southerner
I've never got into any real competition ($$ excuses etc) but had a couple of MX5's I did trackdays in - a fairly standard '89 and then a 250hp turbo '90. These days its just a sensible car (Legacy GTB) and chasing rallies around taking photos. Bunch of albums here: GravelBen's Public Profile on Photobucket.com (and click the 'recent albums' button)
You heard of a Rangiora driver nicnamed 'Groove' with a kermit green BDA? (Just checking out your pics now)
And since when are subbies sensible?! ;)
Here's my old A to B, only did speed events and autocrosses with it. This was a day drive out to Burdlings Flat.

Nice Type-R, love the way those things handle with DCCD wound to the back. Great balance.
5 seats and a big boot makes mine sensible!
Not off the top of my head - only green BDA I can think of from Canterbury way was a fulla McCallum I think? Quick peddler.
