    Hi from South Canterbury

Hi everyone. I have been have a good read through some of the threads on the site and have been impressed with the knowledge and banter thrown around by the members.

As an introduction, I am based in South Canterbury and live between Timaru (where I work) and Twizel (where my family lives) so getting the best of both worlds in most respects. For the last year I haven't had many chances to go bush or get on the hills with a new-born at home, and me away for half my time already, however, as time goes on I would love to spend a bit more time out and about where possible.

Most of my hunting experience thus far has involved Thar, although I am really keen to spend some effort chasing some deer around in the future. If any forum members are in the area please hit me up, I will be happy to pass on some local knowledge or at least have a beer and yarn when my shift cycle plays ball!

    Cheers, Jem.

You have a good hunting area and I know it well. Between the areas you live there are black wallabies floating around and a few sika cross transported via truck to a unsuspecting deer farmer come real estate agent who didn't know what he was buying .It wasn't me who put them there, but it was me who found them while undersowing.

I have a few blocks down your way I need to get back to and need to check out a new block I recently been ask to come on for a hunt .

    Welcome Jem
