    Hi from Taranaki

    Hi all
I’m a new member from Taranaki, but have lived in the South Island for a few years as well. Into mainly deer stalking and goats to keep my eye in.

Am on the look out for a .223 either bolt/semi mainly for the goats. If anyone is looking to sell let me know. Main rifle is a .270 which after reading some posts on here may get me a mocking, but hey not everyone can handle the power!

    Cheers,
    Addo

Well; it's only 13 thou bigger than a 6.5 and 7 thou smaller than a 7mm. Mate, the naysayers are nitpickers

Certainly no shortage of goats here in Taranaki to keep our shooting skills sharp. Forget about all the .270 haters they haven't worked out as long as it goes bang it is a winner.

Thanks everyone, I like to think of the 270 a bit like Donald Trump. Everyone likes to bag it, it makes a lot of noise, but at the end of the day it still gets shit done! Now let’s see what the haters say.....

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
