    Hi Team

I've been on here for a while and thought best I say G'day.

Back living in Sth Canterbury after quite a few years working overseas and popping home to hunt and fish when I could. I was lucky enough to grow up as a young fella in the 60's above the Rangitata Gorge so it's great to be home again even if it's kind of watered down now - a lot more fences and people and all that. Had my firearms license since 76 and been hunting all over and guiding (fly fishing) here and in North America. Currently running Bergara .308, Sako .222, T/C Seneca .36, T/C Seneca .45, .22 Win, Greener 12g. I'm pretty keen on conservation issue and have been involved in some way since 1972, plant and animal surveys etc and currently getting my teeth into predator and plant control issues here. Water quality is also high on my political agenda. I'm a friken loud mouth and have at least one opinion about everything - hoping not to piss off too many folk here as I can see that some of my views and experiences may not match the main stream Bottom line is if I'm presented with a more reasoned and rational argument than the one I currently hold I'm happy to change tack.

Anyway, hope to meet some of the folk here up on the hill.

    Chris.

    Hi Boaraxa,

I joined Forest & Bird in 1972 and have voted green in the past. 'views' on plant eating critters is a little vague - perhaps you'd like to be more specific and I would be happy to reply on that one. I did not fund the give a little page you've mentioned. Would you like to know anything about my membership of hunting groups 'deer stalkers' and the like or work guiding etc "just wondering"

Welcome Chris. I'm sure I have an opinion on most things but I can't remember what they are. Ha ha ha ha

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
