Pretty basic rig Tikka T3 Lite in .308 standard config with a loopie 3x9 - has bowled over plenty around Gisborne in the past 6+ years
Reload SST 150's which drops most out to 300+, son has .243 with the same config, daughter has .223 with Bushnell
AR223 3-12. I spent a couple of days every year back in the 90's in the Nelson Lakes, no rifle but a mountain bike riding down
to Mossie Hut at the end of the lake at St Arnaud - beautiful place!
