I know three or four farmers that border the ranges on the eastern/north eastern side so when i decided to go in i think i have a yarn to them to see what they know or have seen recently. I did hear they were getting a few pigs coming out onto one of the farms and knocked a few over at the end of last summer so might see if i can get a bit of that action. First i need to sight this gun in properly, probably change optics first then see what we can bag.

Yeh The normal public access point is along the road to the lodge, If you have access from a farm to the north you should be all good. have heard of people sighting goats to the north as they have been going up the track to the horokaka repeater.
