    Howdy from Dunedin!

Howdy folks, new member from Dunedin checking in.

I moved here from Queensland a little while back and I've just applied for my NZ FAL. I've been hunting for 7 years or so, mostly red deer and pigs in open eucalypt forest. Looking forward to getting amongst the thick scrub around Dunedin while working toward alpine hunting in the future!

    Welcome to the forum.
Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

    Welcome aboard

Kia ora! I see you're a local, any gunsmith down here you'd recommend particularly? Thinking about bedding jobs and cutting threads for suppressors.

FYI I don't know Maori... I just made up those big middle words, thought they looked cool.
I had advice to send my 30-06 to @Jaco Goosen, but I couldn't be bothered so it ended up being bedded by local guy called Lee Jefferson. I think that's who it was.
Heard good things about Les Grimsey, not sure if he's still in business. Think so.
If you go to the Leith Valley range the guys there know a bunch of good contacts that can help you out. Good place to do networking

Sorry it was Lee Jefferson. Not Les Grimsey.
