    Hunting mate wanted

Hunting mate wanted for straight up trustworthy 23year old. Working in Auckland, travel as far as wanganui, gisborne, taupo to satisfy my weekly addiction. Trying to shoot my first sika. Ultimate goal a sambar stag!usually hunt alone. Have truck, gun, and an extra pair of dry socks you forgot.

Gutshot I think we are both looking for the same person, but I'm a bit further south of you. Sorry I can't help.

If you want to get Samber there's a few in the forests around palmy that it's pretty easy to get a permit for. Not as easy as hunting on private land obviously but there are a few about, let me know if you after more info

Sounds good mate - any chance of getting my own personal guide though? I've never come home with anything other than rabbits and hares, I'm not sure I'd know what to do if I got a Sambar!

Yeah, happy to pass on knowledge to you or Gutshot. Sambar aren't easy to get out in the forests but there are plenty in the right spots, normally the thickest nastiest piece of crap you can find. I don't hunt them often myself but know where they are from seeing the sign when out pheasant hunting. Just flick me a PM if you want more info
