    Intro time

Kia ora all,Rangi is my name, and am based in gisborne.
Have been getting into hunting for the past 3 years or so now to try and find a bit of Kai for the freezer, and just to refresh the mind Fromm time to time.have mainly been hunting in a couple of forestry blocks locally, but only when shareholders have had their turn and permits are available. Which lets face it is generally after the easyto find them period,ie the ROAR,and they are pretty weary by then! But still nice to get out for a look. Also the fact that the forests are closed for approx half the year due to fire season restrictions, and you can ONLY shoot stags can make finding a kai even more of a struggle.
Have decided to try me luck in some of the big boy stuff this year and familiarise myself with some of the beautiful native bush reserves around the area,ie matawai, motu, and the waioeka gorge.beutiul looking places.
I am hoping by joining this forum that I will gain new knowledge about hunting, from pack setups, product reviews, area reviews, fellow hunters,etc...
Well that's about me for now. Pretty busy couple of months coming up in the bush all so stay safe and good luck.
    Chur.

    Welcome
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
