    Welcome.
The only stupid questions are the one's you're too afraid to ask.
Everyone here had to start with little knowledge.

    Hi Sako75,

bugger it all I only have a 12g pump action and a cz452 American, but I was thinking the .308 would be my next choice of rifle.
I was finding it difficult to think of a name, seemed like a good name at the time, I have only done rabbit shooting and possum shooting.
shot a goat once when I was a kid, but would really like to shoot a dear an butcher it myself. you're thought's on rifle calibre?

Don't ask what rifle or what calibre and you will be just fine on any forum.

I shot a possum once with a 308 tracer. Not exactly pink mist but could say it was smoking

And yeah what he said - just buy one in every calibre!!
