Just another Canadian thinking about making the move to hunter's paradise.

    Hi Folks,

Been lurking on here for a while. I'm just another Canuck that is tired of -45 winters and looking at possibly heading on down to the hunter's paradise you guys call home.

    Thanks guys.
@jakewire I'd prefer it to be permanent. Might have to start with a long holiday first though. Where I am in northern Canada deer season only lasts a month up here, and if that's when work is you miss out until the following season. Fishing is lousy unless you drive 5-6 hours. Last winter there was snow for 8 consecutive months (Oct-May) with the coldest being -50's. A guy gets tired of that year after year, haha.

Welcome to the forum Thor. Come on down. Hunt and fish all year round.

welcome on board old son. tell ya what could ya slip a coupla moose in ya bag when ya come -some of the buggers round here seem a little lethargic -having a cranky bullmoose right behind em ,might wake there ideas up a bit.

Hey bud, welcome. Where are you living now, Northern Territories? I'm born and raised in the Maratimes, don't hold that against me. Just had my 14th year Kiwi anniversary though so I'm well over half life lived in nz.

Welcome from the Coromandel. Did you say you like fishing. We are so close to the sea I can spit (downwind) into it.

Just waiting for the easterly to kick in before going out for a fish. Come over and try it.

@Dougie spent the last winter on the prairies. But the rest have been spent in the northern half of Alberta and BC.

And no, I won't hold being from the Maratimes against you, haha.
@kotuku I can try and see if I can get a moose or three to fit in my bags. But the grizzlies get mighty gnarly when you try to stuff them in a box while they're still kicking.

@Scribe yes sir I enjoy fishing, and catching too. Haven't put a hook in the water in 2 years here now. 5-6 hour drives in the wrong direction don't happen often to get to anything decent.

ah thats ok squirecause if anyone nailed it the dundees wouldnt have enough watties(tomato sauce mate) to cover the roast.dunno how mother dundee would go trying to pack a whole grizzly into the roasting tin- however no doubt where theres awill theres a way.
anyhow better let you go ,no doubt youre packing gear already.
