    Kapiti Newbie

Hi all, newbie to the forum.

Living on the Kapiti coast, new to the area but not to the outdoors. Mostly spend my time taking my son out for goat shoots. Time I got serious though and put the hard yards in for some venison. Shooting 6.5x55 and Mini 30 for my bush gun. Also shooting a 70lb compound bow but just on small game at the moment.

    Cheers, Feral.

Thanks for the welcomes, keen to meet some blokes and get to know the area. Like to think I'm pretty reliable rather than a pain in the arse or a burden, ha. I appreciate the 1080 has buggered our back yard for now but regardless, keen to get out there. Oh, I also dive, pretty experienced there so anyone looking for a spearfishing or dive buddy or a ring-in on a run out to the island then I'd be keen. Contribute for costs etc. Also have 4x4 for shore diving down the south coast if anyone's keen. Cheers.

Oh, I do plan to join the local deer stalkers later this month, so maybe bump into some of you there...

There has been a few in the past that have come to the forum asking the same thing straight off the bat and I can think of one in particular that didn't end too well. Get on here a bit and contribute and get to know a few lads and I'm sure a few people will be happy to take you out.

Ha, thanks Rushy. Not too feral really. Prefer the single malt to woodstock, wear a suit to work some days and live in the bush on others. Time spent in the middle east and africa with the army, hold a healthy disrespect for authority and society in general, and have an insatiable appetite for nature's offerings. I did eat goat intestines once but that was more of an accident than intentional. All in all I'm probably as normal as the rest of us here .
