    Lazy Bastard Intro

    Introduction time...
I'm a lazy bastard, I'd rather be lying in a hammock, drinking a cocktail... over-looking a beach. But in reality I work as an English teacher trying to teach about 25 rowdy NZ teenagers...so basically I'm a 'crowd controller'.

I wake up every morning with the joy & excitement of wanting to go directly back to sleep. The only time I really enjoy my job is when I think how my bank a/c would look without it.

So to relax and enjoy life I shoot my rifles and hunt. I can resist most expensive things in life except the temptation to buy rifles and shoot them (presently I am ok though as my gun safe is full).
I'm a firm bachelor, as it gives me time to hunt and there is no one around to 'tell' me 'advice'. I do however give myself excellent advice... but I am usually incapable of taking it.

Welcome along. A full safe hasn't stopped me! Always more room for another safe somewhere.

    Welcome.

My safes keep getting full as well.
Fortunately I have room for more safes.
It's a virtuous circle, space in the safe means more rifles, more rifles mean more safes, .....

I tend to agree with the others.
Once you get past 42, more safes seem to be the answer to most all else.

You question an English teacher in grammar Ryan? haha

No, you actually made a very common confusion as the difference between the verbs laying and lying is easily made due to the similarities in the meanings.

So if something or someone is already in a reclining position, you say "I am lying on the hammock or bed".

However if you are laying, you are setting something or someone down gently or carefully, allowing it to assume a resting place on a surface eg "I am laying the foam mat on the hammock" or "I am laying the child in the hammock".

So for you Ryan you get a C+ .... for at least trying

    welcome.....
thought the difference between lying and laying was more like what you are doing and what is being done to someone/something.....
i.e "lying on the floor" or "my dog is outside laying a cable"

to be fair i only got 56% in school c english ..... not my strong point so i reserve the right to be wrong
