    Wink New Dunedin hunter

My name is Jessica, I got my firearms license last year. I am a member of the deerstalkers club in Dunedin, a bunch of very helpful and friendly folks there. I am in Dunedin because I am studying Zoology at the University of Otago.

I got into hunting because i really love nature and It feels like a very natural primal thing to hunt. Being able to hunt feels like a void inside is being filled.
I enjoy the stalk, and I enjoy knowing I am getting meat from a purely free range source through my own work.
Also being able to just see any wild animals makes me feel very happy.

Welcome to the forum Jessica. Getting out in the hills must be a great treat after having to rub shoulders with students all week.

Yes indeed. It is wonderful, amazingly fresh. Escape from the dingy old flat and the stressful idea of exams and student fees. Being at one with nature is great relief.

Jessica, I am intrigued by the skull in your Avatar. What have you been hunting down there?
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

That is the skull of a very slow student Rushy. May be a peckerhead. I have not seen one myself yet but I hear that what they look like.

Just came across your post Jessica, looks like two or so years on now. How's it all going, are you still into hunting?
