    New to the Firearms world

    Hi there

My name is Sandy and my gall and I have gotten into small farming in North Rodney, just south of Northland.
I recently got my gun licence and have been learning how to use a 22 rimfire bolt (JW15), mainly on paper and possums.
Gotten down to 2 inch circle at 50 metres and have been getting clean head shots pretty much every kill. Using a laser, scope and spotlight. I have started collecting the fur and give the bodies minus the claws to the dogs we have here. I am enjoying the sport and this year we were able to harvest some fruit off our trees instead of free feed for the pests.

Found plenty of info on the web and been practicing in our bottom paddock with the paper targets I print out.
Look forward to a successful venture with the 22.

    Kind regards to all
    Sandy

Welcome to the forum Sandy. If you ever need any advice re the possums and fur then PM Dundee or his son Possum Trapper.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
