    New to the Forum

    Hi, I’m from Sweden! I’ve finally moved to your fantastic country and am now based in Christchurch. I hunt with both a bow and rifle, and I’ll be traveling around New Zealand a bit for work. I’m excited to explore and find some great hunting opportunities in this amazing country.

    For the past 10 years, I’ve been coming here for backpack hunting with both bow and rifle, and I have to say—it’s truly incredible.
    I’m looking forward to connecting with you all, learning more about hunting in this beautiful country, and hopefully finding some new hunting friends along the way!

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
