Hey team. New to the forum. Amazing resource for hunters, fishermen and outdoorsmen and women here.
Names Josh, have hunted and fished most areas of public land available here in Hawkes Bay being based in Hastings. Mainly Kawekas and Kaimanawas. Love chasing the sika but have been getting onto reds a bit lately. Hunt with a 7mm-08 currently (waiting for the latte jokes) and have been fortunate to have some really great people help come along side and push me in the right direction on hunting when I was younger. Sometimes I hunt with an indicating dog and sometimes I don't depending on whether I want the company. Wife and 3 kiddos at home so my hunting time isn't what it used to be, but wouldn't trade it for the world. Great to be able to read the stories on here when I can't get out myself. I have done the long range hunting deal but ya can't beat the bush hunting in my opinion. Thanks for having me along, looking forward to the discussions!
