    New to the forum. Jeremy

    Hi all,

Jeremy here. Found the forum when looking for info on a rifle and calibre to get back into hunting. Ended up buying a T3x through Double Shot on the forum so looking forward to getting my hands on that and getting into the hills. Shot a few reds, pigs, tahr and chamois 10 years ago when I was studying in Canterbury then sold up all my gear and moved overseas. Been back in NZ for a few years now and keen for an excuse to get back into the bush.

Got plenty of other hobbies too including yacht racing, diving, mountain biking, surf lifesaving, skiing etc.. No trouble keeping myself busy.

I look forward to meeting some of you on the trails and in the huts.

    Welcome Jeremy.

People moving to Auckland from other parts of the country reminds me of rats swimming towards a sinking ship...but welcome, Jeremy! You'll be able to follow all of your sports in Auckland, even skiing (Snow Planet). There's no hunting though, unless you pay the Zoo a visit after hours!

Haha, I do live next to the zoo, could start accumulating some exotic trophies. Yeah Auckland has been good to us but pretty keen to get out. Like has been mentioned most of our hobbies aren't that well suited to Auckland, better to be closer to the action in the regions. Watch this space.

Been testing all the gear out over this lockdown rev 2. Tent is set up on the lawn and is handling the wind and rain OK, patched the thermarest, got to clean some mold off the pack.

Welcome! No there's not much hunting except maybe at the zoo or nightclubs for bush pigs.
