Beautiful work David! Are you hunting in NZ at the moment or still in the UK?
Enjoying my time in NZ in the south island but I do miss Roe stalking in the borders of Scotland being from Derbyshire myself. :-)

I am from Burton -on-Trent and I culled the deer at Chatsworth house in Derbyshire for 25 years, I have also stalked in the borders north of Lockerbie for many years for Roe ,but we don't have the ground lease now. I have stalking up in Argyll for Sika, Red and Roe and will be up there in September and October, also negotiating some stalking for Fallow ,Muntjac in Northamptonshire. I have never been to NZ but if I was younger would definitely move there to live.
David, I think I may have met you a few years ago in Hathersage, where I lived in Derbyshire when you were talking to a good friend of mine - Clive Hallam who is also an artist (Netsuke carver).
You had a piece of your work with you then that I remember had beautifully engraved wildlife on it.
I remember you telling me then that you had culled the deer at Chatsworth for over 20 years so pretty sure it was you as there can't be too many people who are able to say that!
Think it must have been you?
