New to the hills
Morning everyone,
I’ve been into hunting for a few years now, mainly scouting and honing my skills with a bow. Now, I’m ready to upgrade to a rifle and have my sights set on a 6.5 Creedmoor. My brother-in-law runs a .308, and there's a yearly 6.5 vs. .308 tally in the local club. I'd love to get involved, but my rifle knowledge is still pretty limited.
Keen to hear some insights on a good first rifle setup and looking forward to learning more from everyone here. Loving my time in the hills and keen to take things to the next level!
Cheers,
M

Go 308, that way if your hunting with the brother in law you can steal his ammo if you run out or leave yours at home.
Also those 6.5 people in your local club are a bunch of weirdos.
