G'day just joined, moved to Blenheim from Auckland and joined RNZAF.
KEEN to get out town and get into some hunting. Hunted Sika and Red deer in the Ureweras and around Taihape and a few pigs here and there.
Would be keen to chase some chamois or tahr but not knowing where to start. any tips/advise would be choice!
    cheers!

    Welcome Dave
Bet your not missing Auckland unless you still have family here
Maybe you could borrow one of the companies vehicles and tell us all where the deer are hiding

Welcome to the forum Dave. Did they charge you a fee for your SI entry visa? Enjoy the hunting and making new friendships down there.

    Welcome Dave

I have never hunted chamois or tahr but have it on good authority that you head up hill and keep going for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck!
