Thread: new member registration problem

Hey guys, my good mate is here trying to sign up to the forum but we are having difficulties....

If he is using my WIFI, will the forum think im trying to create a second account and stop him from registering?

if thats not the problem, does anyone have any suggestions please?

No idea really but if he's using his own email address I would think it should work.

Wont be the wifi. User name isnt already taken is it?

Wifi has nothing to do with anything, its either a username been used before by someone or email address but I doubt if its that

Yup, I have a young keen hunter been trying for some 6 weeks. Used different emails, different wifi etc. I've sent email to Admin, no result. Sorry guys but not encouraging. I just messaged him when I read this thread and his response was " Bloody useless, I've given up".

I know our admins are voluntary, busy and do their best. But how do we fix this? Not good to see up and coming turned off. Just saying.

I have sufficient faith in his abilities that I could imagine him making a vehicle mounted one with a mini tanker on a trailer as the fuel source.

quite right @Spanners @stug @gimp @7mmsaum and myself are all volunteers however we are not an I.T helpdesk we are Forum mods and this issue seems to be a user issue not a forum issue as many others are signing up each and every day.
Personally I go out of my way to help where possible but as far as individual user IT issues I am definitely not that savvy.
I personally have no idea why your friend cannot sign up but I am confident it is not an issue with the forum.

PM one of us, I don't think there is anyone actually receiving any emails that go to any admin address

Ok I'll get him around and try and do it with him using my stubby thick old fingers lol
