    Are you sure you can hunt that area? I always thought it was a water catchment area for nelson water supply! = NO HUNTING!

    I've seen goats up the Wangapeka just tramping there in November, my mate and I were calling them from the track! As long as you get the permissions and reach legal land I'd say it's worth it. Though no kidding on the massive 1080 drop when I was up there came across these older fellas who were monitoring keas and other birds, since then a lot had gone missing according to them so I'd expect wildlife to have been fairly hit - though definitely worth it seems to be riddled with goats haha. Silly bleaters just stand there staring at you.
