    New to Nelson & NZHS!

    Hey Guys!
    How are we all?
Well my name is Daniel, I'm reasonably green when it comes to forums, I'm 23, grown up on farms shooting rabbits, possum's and goats ect. I enjoy Hunting & Fishing alike, love getting out there and bringing home the bacon! then throwing it into the pan and making fantastic meals! There is nothing more rewarding than eating what you catch!
I'm just starting to really get into some real hunting, Not overly confident in my bush skills yet, but as all things its all about getting out there and doing it until you are comfortable. I hunt for the freezer, mainly going after delicious sika, fellow and young goats.
My cannon of choice is a Miroku .308 hitting the pin on 150gr federal with Sharp Hunter HII3-9X40 optics, does the job for most things.
Can't wait to get out into the rangers here to try my luck and take advantage of what Nelson has on offer!

    Cheers
    Daniel

About time you joined up ya slacker. I myself am not so keen on hunting fellow, but dont mind hunting fallow ;-)

Now young Daniel, forum rules, no trip report posts are accepted without photos! So i look forward to seeing what you get up to down there.

Welcome Daniel. Don't listen to GWH. The forum only has three rules. No politics, no religion and don't turn up at VC's place without a dozen beers. There you go VC, I have set an expectation for you as it is inevitable you will cross paths one day and I wouldn't want to see the young fellah turn up empty handed.

What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
