    New NZHS member from Nelson

    Hey all!

    I'm Aly, 19 years young from good ol' Nelson. Just introducing myself to people out there

    I've made a posting in the Hunting Forum about being a newbie to hunting - and if anyone out there is willing to let me tag along and teach me a thing or two!
    So if you're from Nelson check that out

    I'm not just a new member to NZHS, but also to hunting! Although I went hunting as a kid, years of inactivity means I can't remember a thing. I'm currently a pretty active tramper and I reckon I would love to step it up and get into hunting so I can really get into the back country kiwi experience
    You might come across me in the Richmond Ranges pondering along enjoying the wilderness, but when it comes to guns and hunting your own meat - I'm not squeemish, but yes, quite a bit clueless

    Anyway just saying hi! Keen to share my hunts in the future and getting to learn some things from you all

    Welcome Aly. There are some top members of this forum down your way. You'll be right in no time.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
