    New old guy here

    Hello all!

    New to this forum, but used to be on the huntnfish forum before it shut down.
    I see some familiar names here! Glad, I found it.
    I´ve been fishing since I could hold a rod. For the past 12 or so years I`m more into hunting. Not too far away from home I have the lease
    for a small hunting block where we mainly shoot roe deer and pigs.
    I´m also interested in reloading and knifemaking.
    Please excuse my bad English - it´s not my mother tongue!

    Cheers

    Welcome Christian

    Any pics of what your typical hunting set-up and area looks like would be great, it's always interesting to see how other people do the same thing
    What calibre are you hitting the pigs with?
    Is 7x57 still common in Germany?

    Cheers

    Hi 308,

    I think, as a newbe to the forum I can´t post any pics yet.
    We mainly shoot 8x57is and use 180 grain bonded bullets. 7x57 seems not to be too common anymore these days.Too many calipers, too many options!

    Cheers

    Good to have you on board Christian. Welcome. I get to Germany fairly regularly but in Fish Head county further north ( Luebeck). I’m a walnut and blue man so I always enjoy poking around looking at high class rifles and gear when I’m there.
    Also be interested to hear about your knifemaking interests.

    Welcome aboard.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    @Southcity
    Walnut and blue has always a certain appeal!
    I will post a few images of knives once I can do that.
    @Rushy
    Thanks for the head up.
    Can’t emphasize these rules too much!
    @Mathias

    dont worry your engrish is just fine..its a mongrel bastardised launguage at the best of times and it seems to be constantly evolving /morphing each year with text lingo being added in as common speech, nek minute, its acceptable everywhere.
