Retired last year & keen to get out & about again, my go to rifle is a BSA Hunter/Viscount, originally in 7x57 but rebarrelled by Din Collings into a 257x57, it says so on the side. ;) I've had a look around the last couple of days & like what I see pretty much, the lack of politics & religion is a plus to my mind, there is plenty of other stuff to beef about. Hey, thats a nice calibre, Id be wondering if it is in fact a "257 Roberts" which is the 7x57 case with a 257 bullet. In any case welcome aboard and I can speak from experience - that is a very capable rifle, I sold my very fine Mauser 257 (to John Duxbury) several years ago and immediately regretted it!
