    Cool Newby from RSA

    Hi from Newby.I am from South Africa and been in NZ for 2 months, and love it, now intention moving back to S A, --Exept for hunting each year in S A.I have been hunting in S A for the last 20 years and reloading my own ammunition.I stay in Laingholm, Auckland
    I have been reading your forum for a couple of months and found very hulpfull and hoping to learn more.
    If I may ask question which club to join Cleveland or Akarani.Want to shoot up tp 1000m

    Clevedon rifle range does long range shoots. All the others are around 200 metres max

    Welcome. There are plenty of Sowth Arfrickens here so you will feel right at home.
    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
    Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
    Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
    Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
    Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
    Rule 5: Check your firing zone
    Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
    Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

    Clevedon is good. The range is shared with Auckland Service Rifle Association, in case you get tired of moving that manual bolt and need some gas to assist!
    I cannot compare to Aka... as never shot there...
    Clevedon is closed in the winter, as it becomes a bog.
