    Noob from Jockistan

Hello guys, my name is Rob. I'm 55yo partially disabled bloke from Scotland with around 45 years of hunting under my belt, and about 30 years of deer stalking. Not able to do as much as I once was owing to mobility issues, but the mind is still willing.

Seems you Kiwis are way ahead of us Brits in terms of rifle knowledge/technology - I hope to learn a lot from you all.

Hi Scouser, I suppose I have but tend to have to hobble/crawl these days. I'm really coming back to shooting/hand-loading/hunting after a fair break owing to ill health, but I'm determined to get back into the hobbies as much as I can. I ordered a new rifle on Thursday (Tikka T3 Super Varmint in .300 WSM), my first since 1991, and got a helluva deal on a Swarovski 3-18x50P BT L scope - the force is still strong.

Welcome to the forum DW58. Forum member @AndrewH will be going back home in the next couple of weeks to catch up with family and may be cruising past you so give him a wave as he goes past.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, just what I expected from a fine bunch of Kiwis.

@ AndrewH - I'm in Moray, up on the NE coast.

I'm really impressed with what I've seen here so far, I think I'm going to learn a lot. I've been fairly inactive in the rifle/hunting world for a number of years so have a lot of catching up to do.
