Thread: Northerner in the South

Hey Guys I'm a 22 y/o freshly finished civil engineer. Always been into hunting grew up shooting rabbits and other pests (eating them too well some of them). Always tried my luck with big game and had a bit of luck but would call it just that considering the success rate. Still learning the ropes really.

I grew up hunting up north around the Bay of Plenty and primarily hunted Fallow and pigs. I've been in Christchurch for 4 years and have hunted all over the South island now rather unsuccessfully but has been great all the same. I am now based between Chch and Kaikoura depending on the week.

Still getting used to the South island but have managed to knock of Red Deer and Tahr of the list as well as having seen a few Chan while not hunting and once while returning from Tahr with full packs.

Always keen on a hunt or dive. And looking forward to getting into my first Tahr ballot block this year.
