    Not really a newbie...

    Hi all,
I've been signed up for nearly 2 months, so probably better do the intro!

I'm based in Hamilton, and used to do quite a bit of hunting but only really just getting back into it.

I’m 47yo (when the f*** did that happen!), I did most of my growing up in the western King Country. I started pig-hunting at 13yo with the shepherd on the family farm, we also made a few dollars during school holidays catching wild nanny goats, and hit the possums fairly hard (shooting, traps and cyanide) when the skins were worth something. I got into deerstalking when I was at Massey (late 80’s early 90’s, mostly Forks/Te Ekaou hut area in the southern Ruahines) and did a bit in Pureora (Piro Piro area) post-Uni, but mainly hunted pigs and goats in the Whareorino.
Hunting used to be my main passion. After moving for work a couple of times and sort of drifting away from the big-game hunting, I ended up spending more time (and money) on fishing. I’m getting back into the hunting now, and dusted off the reloading gear too. I’m probably better suited to deerstalking now than when I was younger, less of the flat-out armed tramping and more of the stop look and listen (while I try to catch my breath).

    Cheers!

Yeh welcome cigar. Enjoy the place.

Do you drink the branded mud they have up there or are you a man of taste, education, panache, and sophistication and therefore drink something else.?
    Anything else really.
