    Old but new again :-)

I use to hunt in my youth.

BUt its been 25 years so I need some refreshers.

Im recovering from MS so this has been a big struggle to regain health let alone fitness.

Im into quiet mature groups, regardless of age. Not into drinking a lot in the hut the night before etc, the old dram of single malt no issue.

Worked in IT all my life, hoping to find similar minded people to make friends as I lived in Aussie for 20 years.

    Thanks for having me

Hey you never know I could be down for a SI hunt if the deer are a near sure thing. Considering retiring in Marlborough as it has everything I love, spearing, paua, deer, great hunting, great scenery, gold prospecting, heck even the west coast might suit me. Ive never been to the west coast but I have thing thing in my head its all rough as guts. I thought that about New Plymouth until i visited it for the first time in 20 years a few years back and its REAL nice there.

If KeriKeri had better hunting though, or even up by Cable bay I wouldnt consider anywhere else.

What rifle you using? You got a spotting scope?

My main issue is I have back degeneration in my lower lumbar so Im working hardcore on planks etc, and I have to take self inflating mattresses or my back is shot. I use to just sleep on the ground in my bag when I was young ha.

Welcome, for ageing bodies a hammock is an excellent option if there are trees, and your balance is good enough.

    Welcome to the forum.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

Welcome. They used to refer to retirement-age as the Golden-Years, I now realise they were referring to the money they made out of us

Welcome, there are many of us older ones here that get a Govt hand out that we really deserve for the years of contribution. Where ever you settle, wish you the best.
