Thread: From the Plains of Colorado...

Hello to all from the wind swept prairie of Colorado. My name is Joshua, and I'm looking forward to visiting New Zealand for the first time this December. My good friend and business partner Steve ("Colorado") and I are planning a trip, and we'd love to get some shooting in at goats, pigs, etc.... and I'd love the opportunity at a few big browns or rainbows in the rivers too. Steve and I were out east of home 50km or so this week doing some shooting and looking for a prairie dog or two that wanted to play catch with the .22-250. We took some pictures of our favorite places, and I thought I'd share them with all of you... as an introduction of sorts. I'll first introduce myself with a few pictures....

This is what I live to do... hunt coyotes. Myself, the Rem. 700 6mm, and 10 very dead coyotes...



I also enjoy hunting whitetail deer on occasion. Another Rem. 700, this one in .25-06



And black bears are a great hunt too. My buddy Nick with a nice Washington State bear, Rem. 700 in .300 RUM



Guided this guy to a beautiful Pronghorn Antelope a few years ago... 60km from home...




Now.... a bit of an introduction to Northern Colorado.... from Steve and I.

This is the country we hunt.... looking to the north. The cliffs far off in the distance are in Wyoming, approximately 100km.



The official name of the area is "Pawnee National Grasslands".... I think they should re-name it to the "Pawnee National Cactus Lands".
