    Rookie

Well I thought it's about time I stop browsing and actually introduce myself.

Long time viewer, first time posting. After an agonizing 18months of applying for my FAL, I finally sat and passed the test yesterday. Looking forward to getting out there with my own bang stick.

Have done a fair bit of pig hunting growing up here in Kaiangaroa however after leaving for the army 12 years ago I haven't done any. Have been back home for awhile now and am brand new to deer hunting. Loving all the info on here and hope to add my two cents in future.

Be god to meet some of you in the area and make some connections.

    Cheers team.

Welcome @Scottie. Hope your FAL comes through quicker than my bro-in-law's... he passed his test in August and is still waiting for vetting.

Mate this process has been terrible if I'm to be honest. Applied around 15-18mths ago. 2 Months ago I finally got my letter telling me I can sit the test.

It's not been a kind process.

Welcome to a very helpful ( and at times entertaining!) site, you’ll get a lot out of it.

After 6 years I'm not sure you qualify as a rookie but welcome to the interactive side of the forum

Well done with passing your test. Now we can get down to the "what calibre" discussions

    Welcome.

Be prepared to disappear down the rabbit hole.
