Howdy. I'm a complete newbie to hunting. In fact I've never used firearms before. I applied for my licence yesterday, and expect to wait 18 months or more. The motivation is to put meat on the table.
I'm from Dunedin. I've done a bit of hiking in the past, so I'm familiar with a few of the doc areas around here. I'll be investing in a decent pair of binoculars so I can spend the next 18 months covering kms on foot preparing for when I have a rifle. The plan is to get the GPO Range Guide 2800 10x32 LRF binoculars, unless someone has something bad to say about them?
Hoping I can be of value on here somehow over the next few years! Reading through the forum has provided a great deal of knowledge to me already.
I love chainsaws, drink speights, lift heavy barbells, and live for the next opportunity to get into nature.
If the leith valley rifle range will allow me to come and watch, listen and learn prior to me being licenced, locals may see me there over the next year.
