    Taumarunui

    Hey Team
well I'm in the process of setting up camp in the bustling metropolis of Taumarunui.
So you locals here, get pm'ing me your best hunting spots and gps marks for where you've seen those huge stags.
You are also welcome to pick me up to take me there too.
Failing that you could always just get in contact if you're interested in maybe getting together to talk shit and drink beer or shoot guns
    or whatever.
Possibly consider the opportunity of any work that may be available too
    Who's here?

I'm a safe 60km away in a bush. Taumarunui is way to busy for me, only shop there every third week or so, for essentials in the main street. Find yourself a decent street map, a compass and avoid going out at night.

didn't think there's enough streets to need a map.

Just a shot at hillbilly humour, sorry. It's a delightful town...

It’s because I’m here, roaming the streets at night

One thing I noticed about Taumarunui and Taihape is the houses have great stacks of firewood at every house...there will be a reason for this...and it is that reason I wouldn't live in either place.

Think you will find that a lot of houses here are lacking decent insulation, I guess it gets pretty cold also.

Insulation wasn't needed until the 'snowflakes' moved inside.

Great Golf course, well it was 35 years ago and good hunting up the old bush tramways, probably all overgrown now though. We lived in a house in Kenheath place under the hospital cold as charity.
