In my own defence though, my irrational eruption on Christmas Day was the result of being engaged by my father in law over a matter that he supports and I hold a contrary view to and the mere fact that it was my FIL was a catalyst as our relationship is very much like that of match to touch paper or red rag to bull.
You should have made you FIL face the wall as in "Turnardern" every time he opened his gob.

Or I could just stitch up his lips with a sacking needle and some baling twine. He is fun really as we are so diametrically opposed in our viewpoints and for that matter our life experiences that our discussions and debates are what you would imagine a debate between Ghengis Khan and Jacinda Ardern would be like.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
