Obviously lots of fishing opportunities in Taranaki, but the hunting you certainly have to have the contacts. Do plenty of fishing trips out of New Plymouth but also Mokau and down to Patea when the weather and work allows.
I've started out hunting deer with my trusty .243 but now wanting to get my bigger caliber sorted and hopefully lock in a couple of South Island trips once normality resumes! Love duck shooting too but that's usually more about the social side of it.
