    Yo

Hi, just noticed this section, guess I should say hello. I'm Jack (or, Jhan) from Christchurch.

A mate inherited a fleet of guns from his grandfather and decided to get into hunting last year. I used to pop bunnies all the time on the farm when I was younger* and so I assumed going after deer and goats wouldn't be too difficult... Hah. So I got my gun license and joined him. We're figuring it out.

I'll admit I just joined for the Buy/Sell area, but some of you guys seem pretty switched on so I might just stick around and talk some shit.

*Looking back, it's horrendous. I'd take the land rover and the rifle (which was next to the front door), drive through the village past the primary school where I was a student at the time, to the other farming block and shoot some shit and be back before dinner

Welcome Jack. Talking shit is what a lot of us on here are exceptionally adept at doing so you will fit in well.

It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
