This was a trek up a small stream without any tracks with one of the children. She had heaps of fun exploring and getting wet on the way back out. Probably much more enjoyable than a walk up a maintained track for her.

Excellent adventure
Waioeka kids loved that exploring the added bonus in there was to search for Hochstters frogs reasonable common in parts of the lower Waioeka -I was trying to build up a picture of distribution - and some extra eyes were great - plus watercress patches / pig sign / deer sign of course
